UEW SRC TO SPEND GH80,000 ON LIVE BAND IN THE UPCOMING FRESHERS AKWAABA
For a long time, the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has taken pride in using entertainment to encourage student participation. However, many students are furious about the SRC President H.E. Godwin Asare's recent decision to allot 80,000 GHS for a live band performance during Freshers' Akwaaba. The magnitude of this expenditure, particularly when compared to previous occurrences, raises grave questions regarding poor management and misaligned goals.
Students at UEW have not been quiet about this matter. Many people have voiced their disapproval and questioned the reasoning behind this 80,000 GHS allotment on social media and in university forums. The amount being spent and the lack of transparency in the decision-making process are the main causes of the discontent.
